Industrial spinning started in the 18th century with the start of the Industrial Revolution. The yarn manufacturing was one of the very first processes that were industrialized.

The yarn is a textile commonly made of wool, cotton, or acrylic. The most common plant fiber is cotton, which is typically spun into fine yarn. It is commonly used for weaving into a thick textile through crochet or knitting.
